Al-Balad Quarter
The Sadus we know began here: a fortified settlement that grew around a well dug out again, was torn down and rebuilt, and became the oldest, walled heart of the town.

Al-Badi' Quarter
A few houses in the middle of a farm, west of Al-Balad: Al-Badi' shows a life the people of Sadus lived among the palms rather than behind the walls.

Al-Ras Quarter
When Al-Balad grew too crowded for its people, building spilled out of the walls to the north, and Al-Ras was born.

Jeddah Quarter
A Sadus quarter named after a city on the Red Sea, to celebrate its capture and the safe return of the Al Muammar men who fought there.

Al-Manara Quarter
A quarter without walls, built where the obelisk and the ruins of the ancient palace once stood; its first builder was the mosque's imam and the children's teacher.

Masdah Quarter
One of the last mud-brick quarters of Sadus: a few houses north-east of Al-Ras that show how the village kept growing before concrete arrived.
