The Trails

From mud-brick lanes to the edge of Tuwaiq: a cultural route that links the stops along the way.

A programme of cultural and natural routes linking the stops along the way from Sadus to the edge of the Tuwaiq escarpment.

From mud lanes to the edge

The Sadus experience does not stop at the village edge. The route leaves its lanes for the oases, farms, valleys and hills, all the way to the Edge of the World, a natural extension of a day in Sadus.

Stops along the way

Diriyah, Al-Uyaynah and Al-Jubailah are historic stops that complete the cultural route, and Shaib Al-Luhaysiyah National Park is a place for walks and seasonal outings.

In the footsteps of travellers

Sadus was a notable stop on an ancient overland road linking Al-Yamamah with Makkah, and on the trade and pilgrimage routes that crossed central Arabia. Today the route links the village with its surroundings once more.

What you'll do
